My agent has always been super helpful and quick with any needs I have. I also recently had to use the roadside assistance service and it was very easy and the driver was so helpful. I put in a roadside assistance request and within half an hour the driver showed up with all the appropriate tools.

After 50 with State Farm, I recently switched all my insure to Erie through Lighthouse Insurance Services. Reason for my decision for the switch is very simple. I am 72 years old and have always had a personal insurance agent that me and my family that always had our best interest at the heart of his service to us. When my agent retired I learned just how important having a service oriented agent is. Simply put, it became obvious to me that, in my advancing years, I was becoming a potential liability to the company and that my original agent had been a buffer for me combating that perspective. While I haven’t really saved much in premiums, I believe the actual coverage for my home and cars is better than what I had at State Farm. However, my decision to switch was totally based on my confidence that, once again, I had an agent that was personally invested in protecting me and my family when the need arose. My new agent, Scott Carpenter, is someone I can trust, and someone it know will approach any future claim with my best interest in mind. When the need arises, I won’t have to go through three layers of AI screening because I can reach him on his cell phone. And THAT is what really matters.
